Turkey Nuggets

Nova Scotia Turkey Farmers

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g fresh boneless turkey breast 1 lb
  • 125 mL fine bread crumbs ½ cup
  • 50 mL Parmesan cheese ¼ cup
  • 50 mL finely grated cheddar cheese ¼ cup
  • 5 mL thyme 1 tsp
  • 5 mL basil 1 tsp
  • 2 mL salt ½ tsp
  • 1 mL pepper ¼ cup
  • 50 mL butter or margarine ¼ cup

Instructions
 

  • Cut turkey in 2.5 cm (1 inch) cubes. In a bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Melt butter or margarine.
  • Dip turkey pieces in butter or margarine, then roll in dry crumb mixture to coat completely.
  • Arrange on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 200°C (400° F) 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Check to see if turkey is no longer pink in the middle. Serve hot or cold.
