Turkey Nuggets

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g fresh boneless turkey breast 1 lb
  • 125 mL fine bread crumbs ½ cup
  • 50 mL Parmesan cheese ¼ cup
  • 50 mL finely grated cheddar cheese ¼ cup
  • 5 mL thyme 1 tsp
  • 5 mL basil 1 tsp
  • 2 mL salt ½ tsp
  • 1 mL pepper ¼ cup
  • 50 mL butter or margarine ¼ cup

Method
 

  1. Cut turkey in 2.5 cm (1 inch) cubes. In a bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Melt butter or margarine.
  3. Dip turkey pieces in butter or margarine, then roll in dry crumb mixture to coat completely.
  4. Arrange on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 200°C (400° F) 10 to 12 minutes.
  5. Check to see if turkey is no longer pink in the middle. Serve hot or cold.
